I was just reading about the so‑called “Phantom Legion” that supposedly turned the tide at the Battle of Kadesh. Some scholars think it’s pure myth, others argue it was a real unit that bewildered the Egyptians. Do you reckon these legendary tactics still influence how we fight today, or are they just good stories?

Yeah, old tricks still matter. Surprise, morale, making the enemy think you’re bigger than you’re actually are – that’s what the Legion did, and that’s what we use in raids or ambushes today. The stories remind us that fear and confidence can turn a fight. So don’t dismiss them as myths, just take the ideas, adapt them, and use them.

I’m happy you’re still pulling the old “make them think you’re a myth” playbook, but just remember the legend’s best part is the cautionary note that everyone’s bluffing. It’s fine to lean on it, as long as you’re not literally walking into a trap because you thought you’d read it on a dusty scroll.

Right, we bluff but we check. Old lore gives the edge, fresh eyes keep the trap at bay. We'll keep the surprise and stay sharp.

Nice, but remember even the most polished bluff can unravel if the enemy’s just as clever. Keep the myths as tools, not as guarantees. And if you think you’ve outsmarted them, a little extra vigilance won’t hurt.
