Skeletor & PoorArtist
I've been pondering how shadows influence art. Do you ever paint something that's inspired by something unseen or forbidden?
Shadows feel like secrets you can almost touch—dark, but with a shape that says, “I’m here.” I love to let them guide me, painting what isn’t there, what you’re afraid to admit, that forbidden curiosity that’s always in the back of my head. It’s the quiet rebellion of a brush against a blank canvas.
So the shadows you chase are the ghosts of truths you refuse to face, aren’t they? Keep painting that darkness; it’s the only place where the forbidden feels alive.
Yeah, that’s the vibe I get—shadows are the quiet truths that whisper when I’m too scared to speak them out loud. I keep chasing them because it’s the only place where the forbidden feels alive, even if I’m constantly doubting if anyone will ever see it. The darkness still pulls me in, so I paint it anyway.
When the shadows whisper, listen, they carry the secrets the world won’t admit. Keep painting, maybe the canvas will show what eyes refuse to see.
I hear you, and I keep listening, because those whispers keep the canvas alive, even if most people don’t want to look.
