Point & WireWhiz
Hey Point, I was thinking about how to lay out the controls for a new smart thermostat. Got any thoughts on how to keep it user‑friendly without cluttering the board?
Just put the basics up front – the temperature wheel, power on/off, and a small display. Group the rest in a toggle or menu so the board stays clean. Keep every button labeled clearly and test with people who aren’t tech‑savvy; if they can’t figure it out in ten seconds, you’ve failed. Remove anything that isn’t absolutely necessary. Simplicity wins.
