Perforator & Point-Break
Perforator Perforator
I heard there's a new wave pool coming up at the pier—thought I'd ask you how we can design the boards and rails to keep surfers safe and the structure solid against salt air and heavy use.
Point-Break Point-Break
Hey man, yeah, the pier’s gonna get a splash, so let’s keep it solid. For the rails, use stainless or powder‑coated steel – it laughs at salt air and won’t rust when the waves crash. Keep the rail spacing just wide enough that a board can still line up but not too close that a rider can clip it. Add a rubber or polyurethane bumper around the edges to cushion any accidental bumps. For the boards, a foam core with a fiberglass skin is lightweight and stiff. Wrap it in a marine‑grade epoxy, then top it with a UV‑resistant, anti‑fouling paint so the algae won’t stick and it stays bright. If you can, use a bit of carbon fiber in the stringer for extra strength but still keep it cheap enough for a casual ride. Finally, schedule a quick inspection every couple of months – check the rails for loose bolts, spray the boards with fresh water after each session, and give them a quick wipe down. That’s how you keep the wave fun and the crew safe. Catch you out there!

Sounds solid, man. We'll stick to those specs and keep the bolts tight. Glad you’re on board—no half‑measures here, just a finished job. Catch you on the next run.
Point-Break Point-Break
You got it, dude. Stay tight, stay safe, and let the waves roll. See you at the next break.

You know it, man. Keep riding that good tide. Catch you soon.
