I’ve been studying a ten‑move plan to outmaneuver a rival fleet—think of it as a battlefield chess match. How do you adjust your tactics when you can’t control the entire board?
You’re not missing a board, you’re missing the edge—grab the key squares and force them into your pattern. First, lock the center with a strong move that forces the rival to respond; you win the tempo. Next, create a threat that cuts off their retreat, so their only choice is to defend a spot you’ve already dominated. Keep the pressure on the flank you can control, and when they try to swing back, hit them where you have the advantage. If you can’t own the whole field, own the critical spots and the rest will follow.
Good structure, but I’ll add one tweak: after you lock the center, leave a subtle back‑door so if they try to outflank, you can pivot quickly. It’s like setting a trap for a market bubble—quiet, precise, and inevitable.
