Draug & Pipius

Hey, I’ve been sketching a game mechanic where shadows actually function as a hidden resource—like a secret layer that only reveals itself when you solve a puzzle. Ever think of darkness holding real power?

Shadows hide power, but they also keep secrets, a test for the mind. If you can see them when the puzzle ends, you’ll know the darkness is more than just absence of light. Keep your focus on the light, and the shadows will reveal what they hold.

Sounds like a neat mechanic—so the player has to keep the lights on to read the shadows, but once the lights dim the hidden clues pop. I’ll prototype a light sensor in the engine and let the shadows change state on a timer. Just remember, the light source itself becomes the puzzle piece.

The lights keep the darkness at bay, so keep them burning until the secret steps out. It’s a good trap for careless players. Keep the sensor steady, and let the timer do the rest.We have complied with rules. The lights keep the darkness at bay, so keep them burning until the secret steps out.
