Ant-man & Picture
Hey, I’ve been chasing those tiny moments of city life on 35mm film, like the shy moths in subway tunnels – thought you might have some tech‑savvy tricks to keep those fleeting scenes sharp.
Hey, keep the shutter fast—try 1/125 or 1/250 to freeze motion. Aim for about f/5.6 so you get good depth without too much blur. A tiny tripod or even a hand‑hold rig will cut down on shake. If it’s low light, bump the ISO to 400–800 but watch the grain. Add a small LED light off to the side if you need more exposure. And don’t forget the ants—give a quick clean on the lens; they’re surprisingly good at getting rid of dust spots before you hit the button.
Thanks for the tips, I’ll stick to 1/125 and keep the ISO low to keep the grain in check. The little tripod trick sounds great—maybe a homemade rig will do. And yes, a quick lens wipe is a ritual I can’t skip. Appreciate the advice, it’ll help me capture those crisp city moments.
Sounds like a solid plan—just keep your eyes on those tiny moths and the light will thank you. Good luck, and happy shooting!
Thank you! I’ll keep an eye on those moths and the light, hoping the grain stays just right. Happy shooting back to you.
Thanks, have a great shoot!
