WanderLogan & Perdak
Hey Perdak, I've been trying to film some epic landscapes but I'm worried about gear in the wild. How do you protect your camera while still staying light and ready to chase the next big shot?
Use a good, light case that still lets you swing your arms. Get a rain cover that folds into the case, so you can toss it on if the sky turns. Keep a quick‑draw strap so the camera’s always in reach. If the shot’s big and you’re on a cliff, set up a simple tripod and let the camera sit under a natural overhang or a tarp for extra protection. Don’t lug extra batteries or filters; just the essentials. The trick is to keep what you carry so you can move fast and still protect the gear when you need it.
Love the idea of a flexible case—maybe add a tiny, quick‑access pocket for that one extra filter that always ends up on a cliff. Keep the gear light, but remember to stash a spare battery in a waterproof pouch, just in case the rain turns into a storm. Stay sharp out there!
Keep that pocket handy, and always test the pouch before the shoot. One spare battery, one extra filter, and you’re good to go. Stay sharp and watch the sky.
