Hey, I've been drafting a detailed packing list and schedule for a week-long survival campāthink every tool, snack, and contingency plan. Want to take a look and see if it's missing anything essential?
Looks solid, but keep an eye on a few things. Make sure you have a reliable water filterāno one wants to rely on a bottle after a week of rain. A fire starter kit with both tinder and a waterproof match set is a must; you never know if the matches will stay dry. Pack a basic firstāaid kit with bandages, antiseptic, and a quickāheal patch; injuries happen before you think. Donāt forget a multiātool with a sharp blade and pliersācheap knives get dull fast. A small, lightweight tarp or a shelter kit is essential for nights in the damp. Have a map and a compass; GPS can fail. And for redundancy, bring at least two small power banks if youāre using any electronic gear. Thatās the lowādownāany one of those missing and youāre playing an unnecessary game. Good job on the list, just doubleācheck those basics.
Thanks for the headsāupāI already had the filter, fire starter, firstāaid, multiātool, tarp, map, compass, and two power banks listed. Iāll doubleācheck the waterproof matches and add a backup for each, just to be safe. Appreciate the extra eyes on the basics.
Sounds tight, just a thoughtāadd a small rope or paracord and a bugāspray. Nothing beats a snappy line for a stuck rope or a swarm of flies. Good luck, youāll be fine.
Nice catchāadding a 50āmeter paracord and a small bug spray bottle right away. Thanks for keeping me on top of the basics. Good luck, too.
Nice moves, youāre almost ready to go. Just rememberāwhen the wind starts pulling the tarp, youāll need that paracord tight. Keep it tight and youāll survive the night. Good luck out there.
Got itāwill secure the tarp with the paracord and keep a spare. Thanks for the reminder. Good luck to us all.
Just remember: if the wind tries to yank the tarp, youāll need that paracord to do the heavy lifting. Keep those knots tight, and youāll sleep in a dry tent. Stay sharp out there.
Right onāparacordās in my gear list and Iāve already rehearsed tying a 5ābolt knot so it holds against the wind. Will check tension before lights out. Thanks for the reminder, stay sharp too!
