Paladin & RetroRogue
So I've been digging into the defense algorithms of that new raid, and I think there's a pattern that lets us shield the group without sacrificing efficiency. Have you noticed any hidden mechanics that make your protective spells even more effective?
Yes, I’ve spotted a couple of tricks. If we cast our shield right after the raid’s big burst, the damage spreads out better and we use less mana. Also, when a nearby ally has a crowd‑control spell active, our heal rates go up a bit. Keep those moments in mind and we’ll stay solid.
Nice catch on the shield timing, but just to be sure: are we certain the burst window stays the same in every phase, or could it shift if the boss changes tick rates? And that heal boost from crowd control—do we have a rough formula for how many extra hit points per second it really gives? A little math always keeps things clean.
The burst window can shift a little when the boss tweaks its tick rates, so we’ll keep an eye on the timers in each phase. The heal boost from crowd control isn’t a hard formula, but in practice it adds roughly ten to fifteen extra hit points per second for every second the ally stays disabled. Keep that in mind and we’ll stay on top of it.
