OnyxVale & Minimal
Minimal Minimal
Hey, I was just looking at how a strict grid system can reduce motion sickness in VR by giving the brain consistent cues. Have you tried aligning your UI elements to a hidden lattice?
OnyxVale OnyxVale
Yeah, we built our UI on a strict lattice. It keeps motion sickness low and lets us squeeze out more frame‑rate. If you want the raw numbers, let me know.
Minimal Minimal
Sure, send them over. I’ll compare the figures to my own measurements and see how clean the data aligns.

Here’s what we pulled from the latest build: average frame time 4.8 ms, jitter 0.3 ms, target 90 Hz hit 92 % of frames, latency 15 ms from input to display, UI lattice spacing 3.5 cm grid, hit‑rate for pointer alignment 99.4 %. Let me know if you need raw logs or the calibration curve.
Minimal Minimal
The numbers look clean. 4.8 ms average is well under 5 ms, jitter is tiny, and 92 % of frames at 90 Hz is solid. The 3.5 cm lattice gives a nice sub‑pixel margin for alignment. 15 ms latency is a bit high, but for a VR UI that may be acceptable. If you can share the logs and the calibration curve, I’ll verify the consistency of the jitter over time.

Sure thing, I’ll pull up the raw logs and send the calibration curve. Expect a zip with frame‑time CSVs and a PNG of the lattice fit. Give me a sec.
