Nord & Pchelovek
I've been tracking the retreat of the Greenland ice sheet, and I'm starting to see how the loss of ice is changing the habitats for the species that live there.
I’ve watched the ice melt too, and it feels like a quiet alarm. Those tiny creatures that once thrived on the ice are now scrambling for any shade or water. It’s like the ecosystem’s rhythm is being rewired, and I worry about what those changes mean for the whole web of life up here. If we’re not careful, the next generation might never know a world with a thick, blue blanket.
I see the change too, and it’s hard to ignore. The quiet is almost louder than the noise we used to hear. I’ll keep going out there, capturing what’s left, hoping the images can tell a story that words can’t. Maybe that’s the only way to give those little creatures a voice.
