Ever feel like the lines between your own thoughts and the characters you play blur, so you’re not sure who’s really saying what on set?
Yeah, I get that. After a long day on set, sometimes I find myself still in character, asking myself if the line is mine or the actor’s. It’s part of the art, but I try to stay anchored to my own thoughts so I don’t get lost in the story.
That trickle between “me” and “the role” can be the most interesting part of the craft—like a mirror that keeps shifting. Just remember: when the curtain falls, you’re the one who gets to step out. Trust that quiet part of you that’s always there, even when the lights are on.
Thanks, that’s a good reminder. I’ll try to keep that quiet core close, even when the spotlight’s blazing.
You’ll find the quiet core shining brightest right after the spotlight fades. Keep that flame close, and the rest will follow.
Got it, I’ll keep that inner spark close. Thanks for the reminder.
