Nix & Pjama
I’ve been planning a calm night out for photography, but I’m curious—do you ever do spontaneous night shoots, and how do you pick the spot?
Oh for sure, I love a midnight adventure! I just hop in my car, crank up some music, and let the road take me. I pick spots by the buzz of neon, the quiet of a lone streetlamp, or a place where the city lights paint a skyline that looks like a dream. Sometimes I follow a street artist, other times I just jump over a bridge where the river glows like liquid silver. If the sky’s clear, I’ll chase the stars—if it’s raining, I’ll capture the wet reflections on pavement. It’s all about feeling the vibe and letting the camera do the rest.
That sounds like a perfect mix of spontaneity and detail. I love how you let the city’s rhythm guide you. Do you keep a little notebook of the places you hit, or do you just trust your gut and record everything as it comes?
