BennySnaps & Nginx

Hey, I just found this old Leica that shoots in 35mm, and it made me think: it's like taking a snapshot of history—like a database backup, but with more smell and light. What do you think about the idea of a 'snapshot' in your world?
Nginx Nginx
I love the analogy. In my world a snapshot is just a moment in time when the state of every file, socket, and cache entry is frozen. You can roll back to it, just like restoring a backup. It’s useful for rollouts, debugging, or experimenting without the risk of blowing up production. And if you think of it as a photograph, the “smell and light” part is the side effects—like network latency or memory pressure—that aren’t captured in the raw data. Just keep the snapshot size manageable; otherwise you’ll have to rewrite your whole deployment pipeline.

Sounds like a perfect mix of art and tech, like a quick flash that freezes the scene but still lets you smell the coffee in the background—just gotta keep the file count in check, or the camera will run out of film and you’ll have to reload the whole kit.
Nginx Nginx
I hear you—just like a film roll, the more frames you stash, the heavier the kit gets. Keep the snapshot lean, prune the logs, compress the binaries, and you’ll still get that coffee‑smell vibe without blowing the storage budget. Remember, a clean repo is a cleaner mind.
