Sure, if you think a dusty dial‑up script will outsmart a thermostat that’s learning, you’re looking at the same problem you’ve solved a thousand times: try it and see. But good thermostats have rate limits, CAPTCHAs, and anomaly detection—so your script will probably get throttled before it does any damage.
