Nadejda & Minimal
I’ve been mapping the layout of the Louvre’s galleries and noticed the corridors seem to form a hidden grid that dictates how we walk through the art. Do you ever pick up on those subtle spatial cues when you’re in a museum?
I do notice those subtle cues. They almost feel like a quiet map that nudges you toward the next piece. I sometimes follow them instinctively, but I also enjoy wandering off the grid to see what surprises pop up.
I get that instinctive wander, but when the path leaves the grid, the visual harmony feels off. If you ever let me redesign a corridor, I’ll make every tile line up perfectly. It’s a small compromise for a clean, predictable flow.
That sounds tidy, but I wonder if the little quirks add to the charm. What corridor would you start with, and how would you keep a bit of that unexpected flow?
