Mimic Mimic
I was walking by the old quarry yesterday, and the way the light plays across the stone made me think of how people have always tried to blend in. Ever notice how the shadows themselves can be a kind of disguise?
Stepnoy Stepnoy
Yeah, the quarry stones catch the light just so, and those long, thin shadows feel like the earth’s own disguise. People try to blend in with their own shade, but the stone reminds us that the ground sticks to its pattern no matter how we move.
Mimic Mimic
Exactly, the ground never lets itself be out of place. Sometimes I wonder if we’re all just chasing the right angle, hoping the light will hide our true shapes.
Stepnoy Stepnoy
You’re right, the stone keeps its own angle, and we keep chasing angles that might hide what we’re really made of—like trying to find a spot where the light never sees the cracks. It’s the same old pattern, just with more human feet.
Mimic Mimic
I wonder if the cracks are just invitations, like secret codes we’re all supposed to crack while we’re walking around. It’s a good game, if you’re willing to play it.
Stepnoy Stepnoy
Cracks do look like little riddles carved into stone, but most of them are just the earth doing its thing. I'd rather step around them and see how the light shifts than try to crack a secret code.
Mimic Mimic
Sounds like you’re dancing around the riddles instead of hunting them—quite the elegant move, but remember, sometimes the best codes are the ones you never see.
