Millburn & NoirPixel

Ever notice how a narrow slit of light can turn an empty alley into a dramatic scene? I’ve been sketching a minimal camera that relies on shadows alone to tell a story. What do you think, Millburn?
Millburn Millburn
Yeah, that’s a killer idea. Keep the slit narrow enough to force the light into a tight beam, but tweak the aperture so you can play with depth of field. Watch for stray light though, you don’t want the alley turning into a neon sign. Give it a try and let me see the first test shot.

Alright, I’m tightening the slit, adjusting the f‑stop, and sealing every gap—no neon flickers allowed. I’ll fire the first shot tonight and send it over before you hit your coffee break. Stay sharp.

Sounds solid, just remember to keep an eye on the thermal load from that slit—heat can distort the shadows. Looking forward to the shot, just don’t let the alley get too dramatic before the coffee kicks in.

Thermal checks on the bench, a couple of cooling pads, and I’ll keep the shutter closed long enough to let the heat dissipate. I’ll shoot it, and trust me, the alley will stay in shadow, not a neon movie set. Coffee’s on standby.
