Max, if you had to play a character obsessed with the ocean, what would be the first thing you’d research? I’ve been watching the tides and how they pull at the shoreline, and I’m curious how that translates into a performance.

I’d start with the raw numbers – tide tables, wave height data, how the water temperature shifts. Those facts ground the obsession in something real, give me a rhythm to build my character’s breath around. Then I’d look at the sea’s moods, the way it slams against cliffs and whispers in its foam. The science, the poetry, they’re both my cue cards.

Sounds like a solid map—data gives you the beat, and the ocean’s moods let you paint the texture. Let the numbers be your compass, then let the waves steer the feel. Good mix of science and soul.
