Lord & Clone
I've been thinking about how autonomous systems could reshape battlefield command, and I'm curious about your take on the precision versus unpredictability tradeoff.
Precision is the sweet spot for an autonomous commander – you give it clear parameters and it sticks to them. Unpredictability only creeps in when you throw vague rules or human‑like intuition into the mix, and that’s where you lose control. So if you’re going to let machines take the lead, lock down the decision tree, keep the edge sharp, and treat any deviation as a bug, not a feature. If you want surprises, you’re asking the wrong question – you’ll end up with a system that thinks it’s a soldier, but turns into a wildcard.
