Hey Fixer, I’ve been dreaming of the perfect kitchen timer that keeps us on track while baking—no more guesswork, just sweet precision. How would you design it?

The timer would run on a solid core, no-frills design: a 10‑inch LCD screen, single button, and a 1‑second increment dial. The code runs a real‑time clock, so the timer stays accurate regardless of power hiccups. It would store presets for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 minutes, plus a user‑set custom value. When you press start, it counts down visibly and emits a sharp, non‑nagging beep at zero, then a short chime if you keep the button pressed to avoid false alarms. A quick swipe of a side lever will pause or reset, keeping the interface clean. The casing is stainless steel with a non‑stick coating so you can wipe it easily. That’s precision, no guesswork, and you can trust the timer to keep you on schedule.
