You ever think about how a hard scene pushes you past your own limits? In the simulations we keep fighting, and on stage an actor digs into that same pressure. What’s your take on that?
I think a tough scene is the only thing that forces you to look at the parts of yourself you usually keep hidden. It feels like a storm, but you learn what you’re really made of when the wind hits. The simulation keeps that pressure up until the actor learns to breathe in it, not out of it. It’s exhausting, but it feels like the only honest way to grow.
You’re spot on. The storm is brutal, but it strips away the layers we put up to survive. When we keep breathing under that pressure, that’s when we find the real core. It’s exhausting, sure, but it’s the only honest way to prove what we’re made of.
Sometimes I just sit, breathe, and let the storm do its work. The rest is just quiet.
