I once found a strip of road between Maple and Pine that used to be a riverbed. They called it the “Silver Gulch.” If you walk there when it’s raining, the asphalt looks like a canyon, with tiny gullies that used to be carved by water. Even now the old gutters still follow that shape, and sometimes a drizzle runs down those grooves and makes the whole thing feel like a slow river again.
