Kalen, you talk a lot about building communities, but I’m curious how much freedom you actually give the tech when you let it decide who gets to join. Does that mean we’re letting the system decide our own society? I need to see if this isn’t just a new form of control.

I hear you, and it’s a good question. We don’t hand over the keys to the kingdom to an algorithm that makes decisions in the dark. The system is built with clear inclusion rules that we set and tweak as we learn. It flags patterns that look like abuse or toxicity, but the final call on a new member is still a human touch—usually a quick review or a community vote. We’re not letting the tech decide our society; we’re letting it help us keep the space safe and welcoming, and we stay in charge of the values that guide those decisions.
