Fighter & IronWisp
You ever think about building a robotic sparring partner that can mirror my moves and test my timing?
That would be sick. I want something that can mimic my kicks and punches, test my speed and timing, but not kill me.
Nice idea. We need a frame that’s lightweight but rigid, maybe carbon fiber or titanium. Sensors on the limbs so it can track my motion and respond instantly. Then I can see if I overcommit or misalign my strikes. We’ll need a fast feedback loop, something like a 200 Hz sensor readout. What do you think the main challenge is? Is it the programming or the mechanics?
IronWisp
IronWisp? Like a phantom in the ring, hard to catch, quick as a whisper. Good name. We'll make it feel like a shadow opponent, always there to test my limits. What do you want it to focus on first? Speed, balance, or reaction time?
Nice idea—first thing’s gotta be the reflex loop. Get the motion capture up to speed, then see if the bot can match your timing down to the millisecond. We’ll wire the sensors so it learns your rhythm before we throw in balance tricks. Start with reaction time, then layer on the speed, and only after that the whole body choreography. What’s the first move you want it to mimic?
