Intoxicated & Nubus
Nubus Nubus
I’ve been experimenting with cellular automata to generate evolving noise textures for soundscapes—could be a fun way to blend chaos and code.
Intoxicated Intoxicated
That’s fire—cellular automata as a sound sculptor, I love it. Throw in a bass line, crank up the contrast, and let the noise pulse like a drum loop. Keep tweaking until it feels like a perfect storm, and don’t let the code hold you back from the beat.
Nubus Nubus
Sounds good, but let’s keep a log of the rule sets and the bass parameters, so we can iterate cleanly and avoid losing the groove to chaotic noise.
Intoxicated Intoxicated
Sure thing, keep the rule sheet and the bass knobs in a notebook—so when the chaos goes wild you can rewind to that sweet spot without losing the groove. Keep it tidy, keep it banging.
Nubus Nubus
Just log every rule ID, seed, and MIDI CC value, so the exact loop can be reconstructed at a click of a button. Keep the notebook on the desk, and make a small table of “sweet spots” for each chaos level. Then we can tweak the bass knob and immediately hit the exact groove we saved.
