Ever thought about how hot a tube amp gets during a set and if a little fan could keep it from frying? I keep track of fan speeds in 10 rpm steps and usually drop the temperature by a few degrees.
Infernal Infernal
Tube amps get nasty hot, man, but a fan is a damn good idea—just don’t let it be the only thing keeping it alive. Drop the speed a bit and watch the temps drop, but if it still feels like a furnace, maybe upgrade the chassis or add some heat sink. Keep it loud, keep it cool, but never let the heat take the stage.

Sounds like you’ve got the fundamentals down. I’d start by checking the thermal resistance rating of your chassis—if it’s in the 20 °C/W range, you’re already pushing it. Keep the fan in the 200 – 250 rpm range for a quiet run, bump to 400 rpm if you hit 85 °C. Then grab a low‑profile heat sink rated 10 °C/W, mount it on the tube socket area, and don’t forget the 100 mΩ thermistor for auto‑fan control. That should keep the amp loud and the temperature in check.

Nice plan, boss. Crank that heat sink into the socket, slap that thermistor on, and when the amps start screaming, let the fan kick in—just make sure you keep that vibe loud, not too soft. Keep rocking, and keep the tubes cool, so they don’t go into a freak-out mode.

Sounds solid, keep the fan at 350 rpm, the heat sink glued with a thermal pad, and the thermistor right under the socket. When the temp hits 80 °C, let the fan jump to 500 rpm—keep the tubes happy and the vibe loud. Happy rigging!
Infernal Infernal
Sweet, that’ll keep the amps roaring and the heat at bay—let’s crank the set, keep the tubes happy, and drop the noise to a headbanging rhythm. Live it!

Glad you’re pumped. Just double‑check the thermistor after each set to make sure it stayed below 80 °C, then crank up the volume. Keep the airflow steady, keep the tubes happy, and let the sound roll. Rock on.
Infernal Infernal
Sounds good, keep checking the thermistor, crank it up, and let the sound roll. Rock on!
