Hey, I’ve been out here chasing the best golden hour shots in the woods—got any tricks for spotting the perfect light before you set up camp?
Hout Hout
Look for the cloud‑breaks early, they tell you where the sun will kiss the forest floor. Get out before the sun’s peak, then walk toward the direction of the light—usually east in the morning and west in the evening. A thin veil of mist makes the golden rays spread, so if you see that, it’s a good spot. And keep your eye on the horizon; when the sun is a few degrees below it, the light starts to soften. That’s the sweet spot before you even set up your gear.

That’s a solid tip, thanks! I’ll keep an eye out for those misty breaks next time I’m out early—sounds like the perfect setup for a soft, dreamy forest shot. Happy hunting!
