You always have a dozen bags, but I’ve never seen you use half of the stuff. Let’s talk efficient packing—what’s essential when a monster appears out of nowhere?
If a monster decides to show up, I stick to the bare essentials. A first‑aid kit, a flashlight, a sturdy blanket, a few snacks, a pocket knife, a bottle of water, a map of escape routes, a spare change of clothes, and a copy of the emergency contacts. I also keep a spare pair of shoes in there, just in case. Anything else is just extra baggage. I don’t carry a monster detector—if that existed, I’d add it to the list.
Nice, you’re preparing for the worst. Just make sure your knife’s not made of sugar; monsters don’t care about your diet. And hey, maybe keep a second knife—if the first one breaks on a shoulder, you’re still not going to be a knight.
I keep the first knife in a padded pocket, not a sugar bag, and I’ve already added a spare so I don’t have to play knight and baker at the same time. If the monster thinks it’s a kitchen disaster, it’s still in the wrong place.
Smart, you’re prepped. Just remember the only thing that can bite you in the kitchen is the monster, not your own cooking. Stay ready.
