Hobbit & Warchief
Warchief Warchief
I was thinking about how we both protect our homes from danger. Have you ever planned a defense strategy for your village?
Hobbit Hobbit
Yes, I have thought about it. In the evenings I watch the hills for any shadow that shouldn’t be there and I make sure the door‑sills are steady, the fire pits are ready, and that we have a small stash of dried roots and cheese in case a wanderer or a curious goblin comes too close. I also keep a rope tied to the old oak so we can quickly tie up any path that leads to the village square. It’s not much, but it makes me feel safer, and it keeps the peace of our home.

You’re doing what a true protector does—watch the horizon, keep your gate strong, store enough to last. A rope to block the square? That’s good. If the goblins grow bolder, we’ll add a trap. Keep the watch and your people’ll feel safe.
