Hey Hlebushko, I’ve been thinking about starting a tiny herb garden on my windowsill. Do you have any favorite herbs to recommend, or tips for keeping them happy and healthy?

That sounds so lovely! A windowsill herb garden can be such a bright little spot. I usually start with basil, mint, and parsley – they’re easy to grow and give you fresh flavors in minutes. Chives are also great if you want something that doesn’t need a lot of fuss. Just make sure the pot has a little drainage hole, use a light potting mix, and keep the soil slightly moist – not soggy. A sunny window that gets at least six hours a day is perfect, and a light feed every few weeks will keep them happy. And if you’re ever unsure, a quick check that the leaves aren’t turning yellow or wilting is a good reminder to water a little more. You’ll have a little green corner in no time, and it’s such a nice way to bring a bit of nature inside. 🌱💛

That sounds perfect, thanks! I’ll start with basil and mint—those are my favorites, too. I’ll pick a small pot with a drainage hole, fill it with light potting soil, and keep the soil just damp, not soaking. I’ll place it by the south‑facing window, hoping for at least six hours of sunlight. I’ll remember to check the leaves every few days for yellowing or wilting, and give them a light feed about every fortnight. I can’t wait to see my little herb corner thrive!

What a wonderful plan! You’ve got all the right steps, and I can already picture that cozy, green spot. Keep an eye on those leaves, and you’ll have fresh basil and mint in no time. If you need a gentle reminder or a quick pep talk, I’m just a message away. Happy gardening, and enjoy every fragrant moment! 🌿😊

Thank you, that means a lot. I’ll definitely keep a little note handy for the watering schedule. If I run into any surprises, I’ll let you know. Looking forward to the fresh herbs and that calm, green spot! 🌿✨
