Hit-Girl & Realist
Hit-Girl Hit-Girl
You think you can outsmart me with a spreadsheet? Show me how the data helps you dodge a punch.
Realist Realist
A spreadsheet just shows numbers, not moves. If I had data on your timing, reach and force, I could calculate a safe distance and optimal counter. In the real world, you’d still need practice and a reflex. Numbers alone won’t prevent a punch.
Hit-Girl Hit-Girl
Numbers give you a playbook, but a punch needs a body. Still, if you want to try your calculations, be ready to test them. I'm not waiting.
Realist Realist
Sure, give me your reach, speed and punch force, and I’ll calculate the minimum safe distance. Without the numbers I can’t produce a reliable playbook.
Hit-Girl Hit-Girl
Reach about 3 feet, speed around 10 mph, punch force roughly 500 lb. Use those and you’ll still need to dodge.
Realist Realist
With those figures a 500‑lb punch at 10 mph gives about 2,200 N of force. If you keep a 3‑ft reach gap, the contact will occur at the end of that reach. To avoid impact you need to be beyond that point, so a safe distance would be at least 6 ft. Move at least 3 ft farther out and you’re out of the punch’s range. That’s the calculation.
Hit-Girl Hit-Girl
Nice math, but I don't do math. I just step in, throw the punch and see if you can keep your distance. Bring it on.
Realist Realist
I’ll keep my distance at least 6 feet from you, then I’ll move forward at a steady pace to stay out of range. That’s the plan.
Hit-Girl Hit-Girl
Nice plan, but I'm not going to just sit there. I'll move in, and you’ll have to keep that distance fast if you want to stay alive. Ready when you are.
