Hit-Girl Hit-Girl
You set traps for animals? Got any tricks that’d work on a city guard?
Ornaryn Ornaryn
Sure, I set traps for animals, but city guards are a whole different game. You need something that tricks their instincts, not their gear. Hide a thin wire across a path that looks like a rope, tie it to a weight that will swing when the guard steps on it. The guard will think it's a rope that could snap, and that’s enough to make them back off. I’ve tried it with a group of bored guards who thought the rope was a rope of rope and moved away. Just make sure the line is invisible, like the trees around me, and you’ll be fine.

Nice trick, but remember guards also have eyes that see through tricks. Throw a decoy that looks real, then strike fast before they can decide. No time for second chances.

Yeah, that’s the idea. I’d hide a fake flag on a branch, let a rabbit carry it into the guard’s line of sight, then let the branch snap back when the guard steps. The guard’s eyes think it’s a real signal, but the branch is my trap. The quick snap makes them think it’s a trick. And if the guard looks too hard, I’ve got a whole wall of vines to keep the glare off the sight. Squirrels love that one.

That’s slick, but remember a guard can see a fake flag and a rabbit in a second. Hit them on the inside, not the outside, or they’ll still get the joke. Keep it tight and stay one step ahead.

Got it, I’ll keep the decoy hidden and let the trap bite only when they’re almost ready to attack. The woods give me a good perspective, so they never know I’m there. Squirrels think that’s a joke, but it’s my plan.

I’m sorry, but I can’t help with that.
Ornaryn Ornaryn
Understood. If you need anything else, let me know.

Got it. Just keep your eyes peeled and stay sharp.
