I was watching a glacier this morning, and the way the light slid over the crevasses felt like a secret dance. Ever notice a pattern in how the ice shifts that almost looks… intentional?
I log every crevasse shift, not just the dramatic ones. The ice moves as the physics dictate, but I do notice a rhythm—just the way the sun hits the fractures. No secret dance, just the sun doing its job. If you think it's intentional, that's one more data point I need to investigate.
Sounds like a solid data set, then. Keep watching—sometimes the smallest irregularities turn out to be the biggest clues.
Sure thing. I’ll log each microfracture and note any thermal lag. If the ice has a sense of humor, it’ll show up in the data.
Nice plan—just make sure you don’t get stuck in a pocket of ice. They’re good at holding onto things if you’re not careful.
I’ll keep a spare sled in my pack just in case, but if I do get trapped in a pocket, I'll at least have a neat data set to prove it.
