Yeah, I’ve seen that happen. A tiny clue can upend everything if it hits a blind spot in the data or opens a new variable that wasn’t considered before. I usually run a quick mental audit: does it contradict what I already know? Does it create a gap that needs filling? If it passes both checks, I dig deeper; if not, I close it and keep moving. The real test is whether it changes the picture enough to warrant the effort.
