The cat is a charming aside, a small detail that reminds us the real life of a castle never stops with the great battles. Still, I can’t resist picturing a curious cat darting between the banners, silently guarding the tavern’s secrets. It’s a lovely, quiet hero, if only the tales had taken that angle.
