Lada & Greenpants
Hey Greenpants, I'm thinking about building a little wooden shed for the garden where I can keep tools and maybe grow some herbs. Any ideas on what would thrive in a small shed?
That sounds like a wonderful idea! A small shed can be a cozy home for a few hardy herbs that love a bit of shade and a snug spot. Try basil, mint, or chives – they’re pretty easygoing and just need a sunny window or a grow light for a few hours a day. If you can get a little bit of direct sun, rosemary and thyme will thrive too, and they’ll add a lovely scent to your garden. Keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy, and you’ll have a fresh, fragrant little herb corner in no time. Happy planting!
Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll stick with a simple wooden frame and a few jars of soil. Maybe rosemary for the windowsill. I’ll keep the shed dry enough to avoid damp wood. Good luck to you with your garden, Greenpants.
That sounds lovely—rosemary will do wonderfully by the window. Keep an eye on the soil moisture and enjoy the scent it brings. Good luck with your shed, and let me know how the herbs grow!
Got it, I’ll keep the shed dry and the rosemary just out of the rain. Will bring some fresh herbs to the table soon. Thanks for the help!
