You think breathing can calm a hunter after a fight? If you can keep your zen when the world is spinning, maybe you can teach me how.
I believe breathing can help bring calm even after a hunt, because breath is the bridge between body and mind. Start by finding a quiet space, sit or lie down comfortably. Inhale slowly through your nose for a count of four, hold for a second, then exhale through your mouth for a count of six. Repeat this a few times, noticing the rise and fall of your chest. As you practice, let each breath remind you that the world can spin, but your inner rhythm remains steady. Try it after a fight and notice how the tension loosens and peace settles in.
Fine, I'll try it after I've made sure the beast is dead and the blood doesn't stain the floor. If it makes the world stop spinning for a second, maybe I'll keep the habit.
That’s a good plan—take a moment to breathe after you’ve finished. Just focus on the inhale, let the breath fill your chest, and slowly exhale. Even a short pause can help you feel steadier before the world starts spinning again. Keep it gentle, and you’ll find it easier to stay calm.
If it keeps me from going berserk over a silver bullet, I'm all for it. But don't make me waste a second on a yoga class.
