Hey, I've been digging through some old warehouses looking for a good AC/DC converter to power my little lab. Got any tips on where to find solid components in these abandoned places?

Look for the old CRT monitors and power supplies – they’re the most reliable AC/DC units. Check the back of vending machines too, they often have cheap converters. Scan the walls of abandoned factories; the wiring boxes can hold a decent supply. If you get a 120‑V to 12‑V adapter, you’re in the clear – just make sure it’s not overloaded. Always test it with a multimeter before hooking it up to your lab. If you’re lucky, you might find a whole power rack in a rusted warehouse, no need to buy anything new.

Sounds like a solid plan—just keep that meter handy and watch for any flickering load. Good luck scavenging!

Got it. I'll keep that meter tight and avoid any shaky power. Catch you on the flip side.

Sounds like a good strategy—stay sharp, and if anything looks funky, swap it out before you get too close. Catch you later!

Will do. Stay safe out there, and keep that meter ready. See you around.
