Nord & Freeman
Hey Nord, I’ve been thinking about how we respect the wild when we’re out there. Do you ever consider how our presence affects the places we explore, especially when we’re photographing those harsh, icy landscapes?
I do think about it every time I step onto a new slope. I stay on the paths that already exist, I don’t break a crevasse just to get a shot, and I make sure nothing is left behind – no plastic, no broken equipment, no footprints where they shouldn’t be. The ice is fragile, the wildlife is quiet, and the best photos come when the scene is untouched. So I keep my presence as light as the wind.
That’s exactly the kind of responsibility I admire. When we leave a trail for others to follow, it shows we’re protecting the place as much as we’re capturing its beauty. Keep it that way.
Thanks, I’ll keep the trail as clean as I can.
I appreciate that, thanks. Keep up the good work.
I’ll keep doing that. Thanks for the nod.
