Fixator & Draven
Saw a busted old war engine at the scrapyard, thought I could turn it back into something useful. Care to weigh in on whether it's even worth the effort?
Old war engine, huh? Unless there's a hidden power core or something you don't know about, it's probably a lost cause. Pick out what parts are salvageable and put the rest to a quick recycle. The effort might be better spent on something that actually turns a profit.
You might be right about the big picture, but you never know what hidden power core might be tucked in there. I'll pull out any useful gears, pistons or metal and see if I can turn the rest into something that actually makes a profit. The rest can go straight to recycling.
Sounds like a solid plan. Just remember, the biggest risk with these relics is hidden corrosion or unstable components—check for rust on the mainframe and make sure any electrical wiring is dead before you start. Sell the parts you recover at a scrap yard or an online marketplace that deals in vintage machinery. That way you cover the cost of the time you’ll spend, and if the engine turns out to be a dead‑weight, at least you won’t be left holding a lump of junk.
