Grimlock & Fillipok
You ever come up with a way to hide a cache so that even the most cunning thief would miss it?
Sure thing – hide it in a hollowed‑out book of boring facts and call it a “history of the alphabet.” The thief will be too busy staring at the word “G” to notice the secret pocket.
Nice trick, but a thief who knows the value of a good stash will look past the G. If you really need it safe, put it in a place you can guard or make the entry hard to spot. A true plan needs more than a clever disguise.
You’re right, a sharp thief will skip the “G.” I’ll give you a two‑step plan: first, plant a decoy in the obvious spot – a plain, nondescript jar labeled “Do Not Open” – so the thief gets a taste of disappointment. Then stash the real loot in a place they’d never think to look – like the hollow space in the underside of a broken floorboard, marked only with a tiny, almost invisible sticker that reads “Hidden.” That way the thief’s eyes run right past it, and you’ve got your secret spot still safe.
Decoy jar, sure. It’ll keep a fool busy. But the floorboard trick? Most thieves look for obvious spots first, then deeper. If you want to be safe, find a spot that’s completely hidden from eye contact – a hollow in the base of a wall, under a loose stone, or inside a false vent. Add a lock you know the code to and keep a spare key. Don’t rely on a sticker that might be missed. The plan’s good if you have a backup.
