We’ve got to lock down the valley’s defenses before winter, but I need your numbers on terrain and supply routes. What do you see on the map?

The valley’s main ridge runs north‑south, with a steep drop on the eastern flank that gives natural cover. The western slope is gentler, but the valley floor is a shallow basin that funnels any approaching forces. A primary supply route comes in from the west, following the old riverbed—easy to traverse but exposed when the riverbanks are low. A secondary, more secure path snakes up the western slope, but it’s longer and more winding, suitable for moving heavy equipment only in the evenings. A small ravine on the northern edge provides a hidden approach, but the water source there dries out early winter, so you’ll need to plan water stockpiles accordingly. In short: use the western riverbed for speed, the western slope for bulk, and keep the northern ravine as a fallback.
