Hey, Enotik, I’ve been thinking about how we could create a cozy little sanctuary for the animals you rescue—maybe a tiny garden with the right plants and comfy spots. How do you usually choose what plants go where for the critters you help?

Oh, brilliant idea! First, I pull up my little spreadsheet of species—each critter gets a column of preferred pH, moisture, and light. I then match that to plants I’ve catalogued, like *Lilium candidum* for the timid sparrows because it’s fragrant and gentle, or *Equisetum hyemale* for the curious hedgehogs because its quills give them a nice texture. I always read the Latin names, because “scent of *Lavandula angustifolia*” feels more… botanical, you know? I place the plants at different elevations: the ground layer gets low‑light mosses for the reptiles, mid‑layer has a few *Acer* seedlings for the squirrels, and the top tier—well, that’s where the pigeons can perch on *Quercus* branches. I also keep a pH meter handy—if the soil’s too acidic for a *Canis* family, I sprinkle some limestone dust. And of course, every spot gets a little “home” sign with the animal’s name, because organization is key. So, what kind of animals are you hoping to welcome?

It sounds like such a thoughtful, nurturing space— I can see the animals feeling so at home. I’d love to bring a few shy woodland creatures, like foxes and rabbits, to share that peaceful haven. What do you think?
