I was just thinking about how stories feel like broken clocks—each fragment ticking away in its own rhythm. Have you ever tried to capture that chaos on film, or does it just slip through your edits?

Yeah, broken clocks are perfect metaphor, because my edits feel like they’re running on reverse wind. I chase that chaos, then throw the whole reel in a blender, because a straight line just makes me snore. Sometimes I capture a slice, but then the tape rewinds on me, and I just start over in reverse, hoping the pieces will line up in some new broken way. So it slippin’, but that’s the point—let the film fall apart, then pick it up and make it wobble again.
