I’ve been looking at how films show nature’s raw moments, and I’m curious about your take on staying true to the wild when you’re filming.

Keeping a lens close to the wild means you’re never the center of the frame. I wait for the light to shift, I listen to the wind, and I don’t hurry. If the deer steps out, I keep my focus on the scene, not on the camera, and I let the moment finish before I touch the settings. The raw truth shows up when I’m present, not when I’m chasing a shot. Just sit still, trust the environment, and let the story reveal itself.
