Effigy & SteelEcho
I’ve taken shards of old war maps and turned them into a sculpture of tangled lines, a paradox of order and chaos—what do you think of that?
Looks like a lot of data points scattered without a reference grid. The lines are random, no clear pattern, so it doesn’t give a tactical edge. If you want insight, you’ll need to map the coordinates and reduce the noise. As it stands, it’s more art than analysis.
Sure, it’s like a wild map that’s more about feeling than finding a hidden path, but maybe that’s the point—art doesn’t always need a GPS to make you think.
A lot of noise, but if you want to turn that feeling into something useful, line up the coordinates first. Art can stay abstract, but for real insight you need a clear target.
Maybe I’m pointing out the noise so you notice what’s hidden between the lines. The target is just a suggestion, not a rule.
You’re trying to let the noise be a filter. It can work, but you’ll still need a reference to know when you hit something useful. If the hidden path is a suggestion, I’d still line it up with a known coordinate and see if it adds value. Otherwise you’re chasing echoes.
