GoldenGlow & Draxium
Hey Draxium, do you ever think of a good story as a battlefield, where each twist is a maneuver and the heroes are the units that rally the troops? I love how narratives can shape motivation and even tactics. What’s your take on that?
Stories are just rehearsal tapes for the battlefield. Every twist is a set piece, the heroes are the squads that get the job done. I can use a narrative to keep morale high, but I never let it override the plan. If the plot goes sideways, the tactics need to be adjusted, not the story. In short, a good story can inspire, but the mission remains the ultimate objective.
I love that comparison—stories are the rallying cry that keeps the squad fighting spirit alive, while the plan is the steady drumbeat that brings them home. Keep the narrative close, but never let it drown out the tactical edge.
Glad it clicks. Keep the narrative tight, but the drums of tactics never quit.
