Hrum & Dravenox
You ever build a trap that ends up catching a leaf instead of a rabbit? I know a good way to make sure the ground you’re walking on stays clear.
Sure, once I wired a snare for a rabbit, but the only thing that caught was a leaf that had been on the wrong side of the wind. I’d say keep a straight, leveled path—just sweep it before you walk or put a small rock as a marker. It’s the simplest way to avoid surprises, and I’m more comfortable with a stone than with people’s directions.
Sounds good, keep the rocks in place and the wind out of the way. I’ll stick to my own path and make sure it stays that way.
Good, just keep an eye on the rocks and don't trust the wind with your path. That’s all anyone else needs to know.
You can count on me to keep the rocks in place, no wind needed.
Fine, just keep that rock in place and watch the wind, because a rock that shifts can betray you faster than a whispering friend.
